Roy Sorvari, Sr Head Instructor
Lives in Somers, Montana
Sifu Roy Sorvari began training in martial arts in 1983 and has studied under national and international masters. He earned his black belts in Kenpo karate from Dale Freeman, then continued his training in Northern Shaolin Kung Fu,Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan, Yu’s Qigong and I-Chaun.
In 1984 Roy was introduced to Madam Min Ou Yang. Sifu Roy trained under her tutelage from 1992 until her passing in 2007. Min Ou Yang’s qigong training was under her late husband, Professor Peng-Xing Yu, and his teacher was Master Wang Xiang Zhai. Professor Yu was taught the secrets of chi development by Tibetan Buddhist authority Norlha Renpoche.
Madam Min Ou Yang’s Tai Chi Chuan was learned directly form Yang, Chen Fu, who also taught her Taiji which is still mostly unknown in the Western Hemisphere.
Roy achieved “tung qi,” the ultimate level of chi cultivation, in January of 2011, through Dale Freeman under the direction and supervision of John Cole, joining the ranks of the few who ever attain this high level of chi development.
Most recently, Roy has trained under Grandmaster Rick Wing, successor of Wong, Jack Man, along with Flowing Motion instructors Jared and Erik Sorvari.
Lynn Sorvari Assistant
Lives in Somers, Montana
Lynn was introduced to the martial arts through Roy in 1988. She trained as much as she could while managing and homeschooling 5 lively and spirited children, volunteering, and managing studio operations.
Jared Sorvari Instructor
Lives in Kalispell, Montana
Jared grew up in the martial arts. He began earnestly training in 2010 under Roy (aka Dad), quickly rising to the instructor level before serving a mission in Canada. He found ways to help people find peace in more ways than one.
Jared has also trained under Grandmaster Rick Wing, successor of Wong, Jack Man.
Erik Sorvari Instructor
Lives in Rexburg, Idaho
Erik also has grown up in the martial arts. He began earnestly training under Roy’s (aka Dad) tutelage in 2016. Attaining Instructor status at a young age. He served a mission in Ghana bringing peace with him everywhere he went.
Erik has also trained under the tutelage of Grandmaster Rick Wing, successor of Wong, Jack-Man.
